Tactus-Detached_EP_ABAGAFREE018

Label boss Tactus heads our latest free release, with two of his own tracks and two collaborations with MAKO, offering dark, deep and bass heavy dance music.

The labels’ 39th release is presented by two like-minded producers, coming together to find new ways in which to meld styles, experiment with sounds and snare placement, whilst retaining melody and emphasis on sub frequencies.

A track from the EP was included on Library UK‘s youtube channel. Big thanks to them for the upload! They consistently upload great music at www.youtube.com/user/LibraryUk

“The Whole Mountain (All Of It)” was also played on Radio 1’s BBC Introducing show. Big thanks to all at the show, you can find more information about it at http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01jk7zb

PRESS RELEASE:

Tactus & MAKO Release ‘Detached EP’ on
ABAGA Records

Tactus heads this EP with two of his own tracks and two collaborations with MAKO, offering dark, deep and bass heavy dance music.

Edinburgh, Scotland
October 31, 2013

Scottish-based label boss, DJ and producer Tactus is set to release his latest collection of tracks through his own ABAGA Records. The four track release will be a ‘name your price’ download through the label’s website, and comprises of two Tactus originals and two Tactus/MAKO collaborations.

Both artists have been busy with a number of projects, Tactus’ recent EP on Gradient Audio and MAKOs’ release on Hot N Heavy have both been well received, and between gigging, Sub FM sessions, BBC Radio 1 and Rinse FM plays, this EP is presented by two like-minded producers, coming together to find new ways in which to meld styles, experiment with sounds and snare placement, whilst retaining melody and emphasis on sub frequencies. It will be the prestigious labels’ 39th release, and acts almost as a follow-up to MAKOs’ ‘The Space Badgers EP’ from late 2010, which also included two collaborations between these two producers.

Tactus has a number of projects lined up, including several more EPs on ABAGA Records that will be released over the coming months, and MAKO is currently working on a range of different music and media projects with some releases in the pipeline for 2014.
